ALL dogs must have a current RABIES vaccine prior to booking any services at Canine Booth. While Bordetella isn't required, it is recommended. Proof of vaccination is required.
All dogs must be on leashes when on the premises.
Dogs must be FLEA FREE before booking any services. If fleas are present during their grooming appointment, an additional $30 will be charged for treatment and sanitation of equipment and facility.
Owners must inform us of any allergies or health conditions. Owners must also inform us of any known behavioral issues such as anxiety or aggression before their appointment.
If a dog shows any aggression, a muzzle may be used and I may need additional time to safely groom and build their trust. If the aggression is excessive, I may not be able to safely groom the dog and may not be eligible for re-booking.
I truly believe in prioritizing the health, safety, and comfort of your dog during grooming sessions.
I understand that matting may be a common issue especially those with long, dense or really curly hair such as poodles or any doodle.
I will attempt to carefully de-mat your dog’s coat. If the mats are too severe to de-mat safely, I will be required to SHAVE the dog’s coat. This can help prevent injury to their skin and ensures a thorough grooming.
I will do my best to assess your dog’s coat upon drop-off to identify the extent of any matting and we can discuss the best course of action.
I strongly encourage you keep a regular grooming schedule for your pet to prevent matting from happening. The following is an example of a routine grooming schedule.
Curly or wavy-coated breeds (e.g., Poodles, Goldendoodles, Doodles): Every 4–6 weeks for a full groom, as they mat easily and require regular brushing at home.
Long-haired & Wire-haired breeds (e.g., Shih Tzus, Schnauzers, Airedales): Every 4–6 weeks for professional grooming, and brushing at home to prevent mats.
Double-coated breeds (e.g., Golden Retrievers, Huskies, Shepherds): Every 6–8 weeks, especially during shedding seasons, with weekly or bi-weekly brushing at home to help manage shedding.
Short-haired breeds (e.g., Beagles, Boxers, Chihuahuas): Every 8–12 weeks for professional grooming, with weekly brushing to distribute natural oils.
I understand that things may come up last minute. Due to the time and resources dedicated to each grooming appointment, I kindly ask for the following:
Cancellations or reschedules MUST be made at least 24 - 48 hours before your scheduled grooming appointment. However, I do understand if you have to cancel/reschedule last minute. You may call or text our number.
If you fail to show up for your appointment (no-show), I may request a deposit to rebook. (Any deposit goes towards your appointment cost). Repeated no-shows may result in no future appointments.
Our scheduling system will send out appointment confirmations and reminders via email prior to your scheduled appointment. Please make sure to provide an email upon booking.
In the case of winter weather, I may close depending on the severity and/or conditions of the roads. I will make sure to post any closures on Canine Booth's socials and will contact you that morning. We can then discuss a day/time for a new appointment.
